Cathy: This is a PBS Masterpiece Theatre production of a book by Henry James. If you've read any James, or seen any other film adaptations of his novels, you can probably guess the ending as soon as you get a handle on the plot. Andrew Scott plays the brother of a young widow, and he befriends her suitor. His supporting part is amusing, but it was the highlight of the show for me. Unless you have an interest in Scott, Henry James, or star Matthew Modine, I would say move along.
