Cathy: This is a mini-series based on the life of Octavius, heir of Julius Caesar. If you've seen Rome, this duplicates a lot of the history and interprets it a little differently (e.g. Attia is nice in this version, lol). Personally, if you're going to pick one or the other, I would say go with Rome, but if you want to see this anyway, it's not a bad rendition. The actors are mostly good, with the exception of Octavius himself, who can't seem to manage facial expressions. Bart Ruspoli has a small part as a sort of policeman working for the corrupt Senate (in episode 3), and Stephen Graham has another small part as a Centurion soldier (in episode 6).
