Cathy: James McAvoy plays a fictional doctor inserted into the true story of Ugandan dictator, Idi Amin (played by Forest Whitaker, who won an Oscar). McAvoy is drawn into Amin's comfortable lifestyle and soon becomes entangled in the corruption and paranoia of the regime. It is a very compelling story, with top-notch actors and crew. I would certainly recommend it, but be fore-warned of the serious and upsetting subject matter. It's probably not the best pick if you've been feeling blue.
