Cathy: This was not a good movie. It wasn't quite absurd enough to be funny. Poor Ron played his part a little too straight and I just felt badly for his character. Ron plays a psychiatrist who finds out, at age 34, that he was adopted. He hires a detective to find his birth parents, and they turn out to be his worst nightmare. They inadvertently ruin his life and jeopardize his relationship with his fiancee, played by Neve Campbell. I finally started to enjoy the movie when it was about ten minutes short of ending, which wasn't soon enough to redeem the rest of the movie. Ron looks good, though, and he appears in the two DVD featurettes, one of which shows him alternately with his father and his brother, Nick, who worked as a set production assistant on the film.
