Cathy: This is pretty much a kid's movie, so I didn't know what to expect going in to it. It's about a bear who was the real-life inspiration for Milne's Winnie the Pooh. A Canadian soldier, played by Michael Fassbender, rescues a little cub from certain death and hides her in his regiment (they name her after the city of Winnipeg). The army is no place for a bear, as they soon realize, and they give her to the London zoo. The core of the movie is about Fassy's relationship with the bear. I'm a sucker for animals - Fassy is adorable with the bear (the dvd has a special feature showing Fassy training with the cubs), and the ending made me cry! If you like animals, Fassy, or have children, I think this is worth renting.
