Cathy: This documentary is based on the true story of two friends attempting an impossible climb on Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in 1985. Many things go wrong and it turns into a story of survival. Nicholas Aaron plays one of the two climbers, but the real stars of the film are the mountain and the weather. Nicholas doesn't have many lines of dialogue, and often his face is obscured by goggles or the hood of his coat, but he doesn't have a large filmography and, if you're a particular fan of his, I guess it's worth a rental. Otherwise, I would only recommend it to anyone with an interest in climbing or extreme sports. For much of the film, the situation seems hopeless, so it's definitely not the thing to watch if you've had a bad day or are going through something emotional. The DVD also includes interviews with the survivors, but I didn't see Nicholas in any of the special features.
